There is a way to properly bathe if you have either skin skin or some type of skin condition. This will help you better your chances at no having to suffer through the pain of dry skin and it's cracks or any other type of symptom from your condition.
1- Soaking instead of showering.
Soak yourself for instead of showering. Also do not use water that is too hot, as this will also help dry your skin. The rule of thumb is 10/100. 10 minutes of soaking at a temperature inferior to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This will ensure your skin will not dry up too fast, as hot water will evaporate from your skin quickly and bring your skin's moisture with it.
Wiping vigorously your skin could irritate it. You want to first, start by wiping off the excess water with your hands. Then just pat yourself dry. Not too dry, just so your skin is still a little damp.
3. Put on some moisturizer.
You are going to want to lock in that moisture in your skin, so do that with a good moisturizer. Apply it all over, except for eyes and such areas. Moisturizer is not for internal use. Try to apply this moisturizer inside of a 2 minute timeframe, following your bath. If you wait to long, you will not be keeping in the moisture of your skin as you would want to.
I hope this helps, it is a small tip, but I personally have psoriasis, and this has helped me go through the harsh winter, without suffering and my skin cracking as it used to.
